About RedlineFilings & disclaimer
What this site does
Public companies file annual (10-K) and quarterly (10-Q) reports with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Much of the text repeats from one report to the next, so the meaningful changes are easy to miss. RedlineFilings automatically lines up each company's latest report against the previous one and shows which paragraphs were added, removed or reworded in the Risk Factors and Management's Discussion and Analysis sections. We also list insider transactions reported on Form 4 and the quarterly 13F holdings of a selection of well-known investors.
How it works
- We download filings directly from SEC EDGAR, the SEC's public database.
- We locate each section by its standard item heading (for example "Item 1A. Risk Factors") and split it into paragraphs.
- We match paragraphs between the two reports and mark text that was added, removed or reworded. Paragraphs where only numbers or dates changed, and tables, are left out of the highlights.
- The "largest changes" are selected automatically by the size of the change and the presence of topic keywords such as litigation, tariffs or cybersecurity. Selection is not a judgment about importance to any particular investor.
Important disclaimer
For information and education only. RedlineFilings is a publisher of general, impersonal information taken from public SEC filings. We are not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, and nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal, accounting or tax advice, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security.
No opinions, ratings or signals. Highlighted passages are quoted verbatim from the filings. We do not provide opinions, ratings, price targets, forecasts or buy/sell/hold signals, and the same content is shown to every reader regardless of their circumstances.
Accuracy. Content is produced by automated software and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong (for example if a company uses an unusual layout). Always read the original filing on SEC.gov before making any decision. Insider transactions and 13F holdings are reported with delays and may not reflect current positions.
Do your own research. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Consider consulting a qualified, licensed professional about your own situation.
